Originating from clinical practice

Diamond MesoCannula was developed by Laila Evjensvold through 2 decades of hands-on clinical work in aesthetic medicine.

Over time a recurring issue became clear. Even with experience and skill, achieving consistent depth, volume and symmetry in skin booster treatments remained challenging.

Throughout her career as a cosmetic nurse with vast experience she searched and waited for suitable devices for this purpose to appear.

Rather than relying on technique alone, the idea was to solve the problem structurally. That insight led to the development of a multi-needle cannula system, designed to make precision more predictable.

The intention of the device is to achieve a natural, healthy result maintaining the individual physiognomy without overfilling.

Precision should not depend on the operator

Despite extensive clinical experience, most skin booster treatments remain operator-dependent. Injection depth, volume control and symmetry rely on manual technique, repetition and individual judgement.

Even among skilled practitioners, this introduces variation between treatments. Small differences in angle, pressure or spacing can significantly affect distribution and consistency. This is particularly true across larger treatment areas or anatomically sensitive regions.

This challenge is not a question of competence. It is a structural limitation in current injection techniques. When precision is achieved manually, repeatability becomes difficult to guarantee.

Consistency cannot rely on experience alone. Precision could be designed into the method itself.

Designing precision as a mechanical system

Diamond MesoCannula represents a system-level response to this problem.

  • Controlled penetration depth

  • Simultaneous multi-needle delivery

  • Fixed spacing for symmetrical distribution

Patent protection

Diamond MesoCannula was granted patent, design and trademark protection by the EPO in 2025 and USPTO in 2026, recognizing both novelty and inventive steps.

Next step

Diamond MesoCannula is entering the next phase of development, with the goal of building a functional prototype and preparing for initial clinical evaluation. The project is open to dialogue with investors and partners interested in contributing to further development, validation and commercialization.
